Dean Fourie of Integrity Promotions used Robe moving lights as a core element of his lighting rigs for the Tiens' Annual Convention and Gala Dinner in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Tiens sells and distributes natural herbal products based on traditional Chinese medicines, and Integrity Promotions undertook all the technical production, stage and decor design for the Annual Convention, held at the Sandton Convention Centre followed by the Gala Dinner, staged at the Ballroom at Monte Casino.
The Convention featured a stage and a new product area, complete with 65 floating cubes as a backdrop. Overstage lighting included 4 Robe ColorSpot 250E ATs on the back truss, with 6 Robe ColorWash 575E ATs and 6 x ColorWash 575E ATs on the front truss. On the deck were 4 Robe ColorSpot 170 ATs and 4 Robe LEDWash 136 LTs.
The Gala dinner included a full entertainment programme. A goal post truss was built around the stage with 18 flown cubes and a branded banner backdrop.
The moving lights were 4 x Robe ColorSpot 170 ATs and 4 Robe LEDWash 136 LTs on the stage, together with some LED panels. Four Robe ColorSpot 250E ATs were rigged on quad truss totem poles around the room, and all lighting for the Gala Dinner was controlled using a Jands Hog 500 console.
