Until now, achieving smooth, even coverage on larger cycloramas required increasing the distance between the lights and the cyclorama. This approach had two major drawbacks: reduced intensity and the occupation of valuable stage space. Our industry-leading Opti-6™ 6:1 height-to-distance ratio optical design, featured in our T32 Cyc™ lights, revolutionizes this process.
Just like with spectacles, our lens coating technology protects soft plastic lenses against surface scratches, that can even occur during cleaning when scrubbed repeatedly. Anti-static properties prevent dust build-up on the lenses, thus extending the period between maintenance cleaning.
Lighting designers have long sought cyclorama lights with enhanced beam control, without sacrificing the qualities of asymmetric beam distribution. The unique, patented motorized VertiSpot™ feature provides vertical crossover point control for superior blending and vertical output variance when used from either the top or base of the cyclorama.
The DataSwatch™ inbuilt virtual colour library for Robe LED fixtures provides consistent colour rendering with commonly matched filter ranges, allowing for rapid and accurate programming.
When selected, the luminaire will mimic the colour temperature of a tungsten lamp as you lower the output to produce that classic warm glow.
The L3™ Low Light Linearity System produces imperceptible, ultra-smooth fades to black.
The Robe Ethernet Access Portal allows to access internal data from a networked fixture, viewed as a web page, addressable via the fixtures network IP.
Cpulse™ is a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control system for luminaires that allows you to select and fine-tune the LED driving frequency, from either the fixture's onboard display or remotely via DMX. By frequency manipulation in a range from 800 Hz to 25 kH, you ensure no flicker will be visible on any camera system including the latest HD & UHD models, ready for 8K and 16K. This means our fixtures can be used with all the latest cameras types for TV, video and film applications.
Green is a crucial colour for the TV and broadcast industry. To address this, Robe has incorporated a dedicated +/- green control channel in the fixtures featuring MSL™ Multi-spectral LED light sources, utilizing innovative algorithms. This allows precise and consistent adjustments of green content across the light beam. This seamless control offers vision controllers significantly greater flexibility in challenging lighting applications.
The General Device Type Format creates a unified definition for exchange of data for the operation of intelligent luminaries, such as moving lights. The file format is human readable and developed using open source formats.
The innovative and exceptionally accurate Robe patented MAPS™ system provides stationary reset without calibration movement, as sensors calculate their absolute positions. This allows discreet resetting of fixtures during a performance and power cycling of luminaires within confined spaces.
AirLOC™ (Less Optical Cleaning) technology greatly reduces the level of airborne particles drawn over the optical elements in the luminaire.

Robe UK enjoyed a busy, successful, and positive ABTT (Association of British Theatre Technicians) expo, staged at Alexandra Palace in London, where the company presented two dynamic exhibition areas – a stand upstairs in the main hall, together with a large demo area located downstairs in the venue’s Palace Suite.
